Opening up the series of live photo shoots occurring throughout Graduate Fashion Week is SHOWstudio. Established by legendary photographer Nick Knight, SHOWstudio changed the rules of fashion film by providing their audience with the unique experience of witnessing the creative process of fashion film from start to finish. As part of their design download series, SHOWstudio team up with fashion designers such as Yohji Yamamoto, Junya Wantanabe and Alexander McQueen to upload pattern pieces for the public to download and interpret.
Today, Graduate Fashion Week will be presenting the photo shoot of the Giles Deacon x SHOWstudio competition winner, Leanne Broadway whose latex dress inspired the graphic set design. Mirrors and reflections create optical illusions whilst seductively dark lips and dishevelled hair take cues from the 90s grunge scene. Shot by Maria Schuller, the photo-shoot will be available to watch on showstudio.com.
